Abstract

Porosity is the empty space between the material (the volume of empty space occupied by the fluid) to the overall volume of the concrete. Concrete is a material that is often used in building structures that has several advantages and is easy to use, can be easily shaped as desired, the maintenance process is easy to do, economical in production because it uses local materials that are easily obtained. Structurally, concrete has a large enough strength to support the compressive force. Concrete with a mixture of fibers is concrete that blends with palm fiber fiber materials, but can also be added in the form of natural fibers and synthetic fibers that can be used to improve the quality of the concrete. The addition of materials in the form of palm fiber fibers in the concrete mixture can provide a positive role in the utilization of palm fiber waste. This research can be carried out using an experimental method, namely making a concrete test sample in the form of a cube with dimensions of 50x50x50mm and then doing a porosity test. The results of the regression analysis on the porosity of the concrete after added with palm fiber obtained (P) of 21.02761%.
