The construction industry in Indonesia plays a strategic role in supporting the national economy, but still faces various challenges related to efficiency, sustainability, and knowledge management. Knowledge sharing among stakeholders is key to improving project management effectiveness, strengthening collaboration, minimizing errors, reducing risks, and driving innovation and operational sustainability of buildings. Nevertheless, knowledge sharing practices in construction projects are still not optimal, leading to issues such as rework and low efficiency. This research aims to examine the level of stakeholder awareness regarding knowledge sharing during the design, construction, and operational phases of property projects in Surabaya and to provide recommendations for knowledge management strategies to improve the effectiveness of project memory management. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents involved in the project stages. The analysis results show that although the conceptual understanding of knowledge sharing is quite well-known, its implementation in the field is still not optimal. The majority of respondents prefer oral knowledge exchange over written documentation. Additionally, access to and utilization of explicit knowledge stored in digital systems is considered to be still very low. There is also an influence between length of work experience and the level of understanding and application of knowledge-sharing practices. Overall, this research concludes that awareness of the importance of knowledge sharing exists, but significant challenges remain in its implementation, particularly regarding systemic support, technological infrastructure, and a supportive organizational culture.
